You know what?

I still don't understand human body. I mean, not if I hadn't seen a naked in my entire life but I'm talking about the brain.
I've been stuck in my bed for 2 days because I had a fever and sometime, I had hallucinations. During 3 hours, I've stuck in a videogames in which I had to find shiny equalizer triangles in order to pass a game...And these lights were actually the lights coming from my computer and my TV. If you want hallucinations, F*** LSD, french kiss a frog!

Totallly forgot about this one

Bought it last week but I didn't mention it yet.
This is pretty cool because it unites aspects of Funky Tech AND Acid sounds :)
A Must-have again :)

By the way!

I'll be at Musique Maison on CHYZ fm this week again.
Don't miss it this time, I'll be playing some new stuff I've posted in here =).
I'm working on 3 productions (featuring Ed a.k.a. E7X) right now so maybe I'll give you a little preview then ;).

A classic

vendredi 5 décembre 2008

I've already talked about this album...

...though, I listened it for the first time yesterday, when I bought it : Structure 1.
And I fell in love with 2 tracks on it : Subermerge101 - A train to nowhere and Bilro & Barbosa - East Hemisphere. This is worth listening :P

Another one that I've not talked about yet is the latest Duet of DJ Ganez and Marco Woods named Acid Fever. There's nothing to talk about : you HAVE to listen to this one!
Unfortunately, it'S quite impossible to get a sticker since the track is not yet available on Trackitdown and is only available on beatport. Find it, it's worthy ;)

EDIT : FOUND! :D

jeudi 4 décembre 2008

If there's one producer...

...that I love ALL of his tracks and remixes.....it's Eric Sneo.
This guy from Sweden made me discover the harder side of Techno without elevating the BPM and play it at 137-138.
This guy is awesome and I regret that I couldn't buy his latest album :(
Whatever, he released a new EP today.

On this sunday afternoon

Hey guys!
Sorry if I didn't updated the blog since last week but I had a hell of a week with all the exams coming at the same time ("ah les fameuses fins de session du cégep!").
Anyway, I quickly checked Trackitdown's releases and found 3 interesting releases.
First one is Ganez's last release named : Sale Planète EP. Most of the songs on it are nice so check this one out. What I like of this one is the fact it has a load of hardness but at the same time, it's pretty accessible so I could play it on radio without having people complaining it's too hard for them :)

Next one is DJ Mika's song on the latest Yin Yang AllStar EP (the first YYAS EP had Ali Wilson's excellent track named Amongst it which one was recommended by DJs such as Yoji Biomehanika) This one has interesting sounds, it has some influences from minimal but is still driven by the main deep bassline.
Give it a listen :)

Last one is something I found by mistake : looking for Remo-Con latest release in september, I found a remix from him that wasn't really talked about. But goddamn! It deserves to be talked about =O.
Conrad S - Onegoa (Remo-con Tech Dance remix)
Since it's on beatport only, I can't really put it on here but I found a live DJ set from some DJ named Louk playing it so it can serves you as a preview :)

PLease...someone....kill that MC!!!!!! =O

What's this song?

Ok, 2 guys asked me what was the song I actually have on one of my profiles...well actually it's a song from Miss Djax's album Inferno called Queensteppin...featuring DJ rush, a famous old school tek DJ.
Enough talking, more music.
By the way, I'm one hot cookie :)

Anti-shitty week songs

Seriously, what's better than a Schranz song to make you forget a shitty week? Honnestly! End of the session + circumstances that are out of my control + November blues = long and shitty week.
Anyway, I've said enuf, here's the song.

bleeeeeeeeeeeh

After passing a hell of a week-end, I found this new track very interesting that it's now in my Experimental Tek collection.
I see you asking me what the hell my week-end was about. Well, I'll make you a brief description : Friday night, Musique Maison. I've finished my mix at 2:25 instead of 2 and for now on, I'll be playing there every second friday of each month :) Then, I slept 2 hours before working, then I worked, then I help to assemble the venue for a rave named Solaris, Légende d'automne. It was at the top of the "Complexe G" in Quebec city, it was awesome. You can listen to a part of the party (well, what you heard when you took the elevator) at Frank L's blog for binaural experiences. http://fralach.blogspot.com/ and then I slept...FINALLY.
Enough talking, more music :)

Mode méchant - Psycho

Mister N. from Rimouski has done this song and his video, jackson pollock style. It's good, I promise!

Rain / Shake your funky thang!

Ah November! The month where you want to kill yourself all the time and your energy is getting smaller and smaller...It's impossible to find a cure for this itch except waiting but I found a sweet cream that you can put on your brain so you could at least bring a little inside peace in you. (N. told me it was Dub Techno so I guess this would fit this blog)

And when you'll be all awaken and full of energy, shake your booty on this new funky bomb :)

J'ai eu cette track en promo en septembre et plusieurs personnes sont venues me voir me demandant c'était quoi cette track de fou...et bien j'ai le plaisir de vous annoncer qu'elle est sortie sur beatport, Trackitdown aujourd'hui.

I got this promo in last september and many people came to ask me what was this sick song. Well, today is a big day, it has been released on Beatport, Trackitdown and Vinyl Format. Enjoy!

What the f***?

Français :
Hey toi!

English :
Hey you! Yes you, kiddo! You're new to this blog? You came here by accident and asked yourself "Where the hell am I?". Well right now you're in a baaaaaaaaaad position if you don't like electronic music. You have two options : You click on the pretty little red square with a "X" in the middle or else you check out this blog 'til you die of ears haemorrhage.

I see you asking yourself : "Who's that sadistic mofo?"
I am a X cell, your host and auditive butcher. I'm too young for you to know my age (but don't worry, I'm legal ;) ) and I'm from Quebec city. I usually present good slices of Techno music (whether it's Hard Tek, minimal Tek, Schranz and bla bla f***ing bla) but I'm open to every electronic music genres (except Old School Jungle music ("Rave music" with all theses giggling schoolgirls dancing their ass off to this)).

"Why this page fulfilled with nonsense?"
Well, this blog has a goal and it's to promote my own mixes, my productions and the artists I like (sort of a "Today's flavor"-like of promotion). Techno music (other than it's minimal form) isn't very quite popular in America right now so it deserves to get discovered by the whole population. Else, I wouldn't have any interests in it...(sarcasm) (Did I say I was overly sarcastic?)

By the way, here's the discovery of the day : Digital Vomit Records (sounds awful). These guys are some sort of "self-financed" label from UK. You can get more infos on discogs.
